Low voltage submersible pumps.
These are ideal to use where it is not practical to connect pumps to 240 volt power. Perhaps paving, established gardens, or cost prevent an electrician digging a 500 mm deep trench to your pond to power your pump, or perhaps you are concerned at the safety aspect of having a 240 volt power cable in your back yard (perhaps you have a puppy, they may chew the cable).
These pumps look like their 240 volt counterparts, and share the same spare parts (except for motor body). They all require transformers—transformers need to be at least the same wattage as the pumps 25% (see transformer price list for transformer prices). * Denotes comes with adaptors, bypass valve & 2 fountain heads (mushroom & tiered) # Denotes comes with transformer with 1.8 m lead to power point.Θ Denotes see p 14 Specialised Pumps for more info.

All the above pumps except the Rio PH 50, Hydor Pico 400, Pondmaster 800, and the Oase Atlantis, are suitable to operate either submersed, or emersed (in-line), providing they are below the water level (cannot run dry). The above-mentioned 5 pumps must run submersed. The Pondmaster, King 3 and King 3a pumps come
